OK, so you’ve already seen what the finished product looks like at the top of the page there, but here are a few more shots..
I like rubbing alcohol because it does a great job of cleaning but evaporates quickly so you can get to painting right away.. Painting the Vent Covers.It’s painting time!
I used Krylon satin finish spray paint in.I did 4 light coats with about 5 minutes of drying time in between.2 coats coming from one direction, and then 2 coming from the other direction to get under all the slanted bits.
There’s no need to do the sides since they’ll be hiding inside the hole.It looks like it should be more complicated than that, but it really isn’t!.
OK, so it’s not the most dramatic before and after because of all of the other updates still needed around here, but as far the vent cover goes it’s like night and day.

It was one of those ideas where you’re off and running with the project within 30 seconds of thinking of it, just cause you can’t wait to see if it will actually work out.. Kennedy and I have been playing around with some of the decor from the Fall bins this last week and she set up my little fantel (fake mantel) for me.There was a bit of an empty spot and I thought something like this would fit the bill for the harvesty kind of theme she had going on.
